Bart Bruinsma (BARTONDISPLAY) is a composer, performer and sound-designer. His sonic excursions strike as avant-garde and outspoken, combining inventive techniques to create highly emotive experiences. His multifaceted, eccentric productions reflect scenes of sensory overload and a resulting catatonic state of mind. His works vary from contemporary electronic music to interactive art installations.

In his music production, he was mentored by the likes of Kangding Ray, Thys (Noisia) and Daisy Warner (BABii) as well as more contemporary composers Julia Wolfe and Páll Ragnar Palsson. This blend of contemporary classical rooting and genre-bending electronic music production is the key signifier of Bart’s sound.

Playing his electronic compositions live for a set of years now, Bart has shared the stage alongside acts such as BABii, Umru and sideproject through the Icelandic collective post-dreifing’s ties with PC Music. The live set digs deep into improvisations and seperate stems of tracks, to be twisted and mangled into a unique show with each performance.
